Mr Aveek Mitra is a fellowship-trained consultant shoulder and elbow surgeon based in Nottingham, with a special interest in upper-limb reconstruction following complex trauma.

BACKGROUND & TRAINING

Consultant-led care, from first visit to full recovery

Mr Mitra completed his orthopaedic training across the Bristol hospitals — including Southmead and the Bristol Royal Infirmary — as well as the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, the Royal United Hospital in Bath, and hospitals in Gloucestershire and Cheltenham.

He went on to complete the Nottingham Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship and trauma fellowships at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham and Gloucester Royal Infirmary. Today he treats the full range of shoulder, elbow and upper-limb conditions, with a special interest in reconstruction after trauma.
